The Real Rolex Novelty 2025: The Rolex Land-Dweller

THE REAL ROLEX NEWS OF 2025: ROLEX LAND-DWELLER

2025 marks a historic moment for Rolex with the launch of the new  Rolex Land-Dweller  , presented as a world premiere at the prestigious Watches & Wonders event in Geneva. This model represents a significant turning point for the brand, combining technical innovation and refined design, and is positioned as one of the most anticipated new arrivals of the year.

A DESIGN THAT RECALLS THE PAST

The Land-Dweller immediately stands out for its  integrated bracelet  , a tribute to historic Rolex models such as the Oysterquartz of the 1970s. This stylistic choice, rare for the brand, recalls the elegance of iconic watches such as the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak, but with a unique Rolex touch. The bracelet, called "Flat Jubilee", features polished central links and satin-finished lateral links, with a hidden Crownclasp that ensures aesthetic continuity and practicality.

TECHNICAL INNOVATION: CALIBRE 7135

At the heart of the Land-Dweller is the new automatic movement  Calibre 7135  , a technological masterpiece that took over ten years to develop. This high-frequency (5 Hz) calibre introduces the innovative  Dynapulse  escapement system, made of silicon and designed to improve energy efficiency and precision. With 39 jewels and a 66-hour power reserve, the movement is visible through a transparent sapphire caseback, a rarity for Rolex.

DETAILS OF FINE STYLES AND MATERIALS

The Land-Dweller is available in two sizes,  36 mm  and  40 mm  , and in a variety of materials:

Rosolare Bianco (steel and white gold) starting at £12,250.

Everose gold (18K) with a clean white dial, starting at £36,900.

Platinum 950 with an ice blue dial, for a regal look, starting at £50,800.

The dial features a honeycomb finish achieved using a femtosecond laser, which adds depth and elegance to the design. The luminous Chromalight hands and indexes ensure readability even in low-light conditions.

A WATCH FOR EVERYDAY USE

Despite its refinement, the Land-Dweller is designed to be a watch for everyday wear. At just  9.7 mm thick  , is the thinnest Oyster Perpetual model ever produced by Rolex, but it retains the brand's signature robustness thanks to its screw-down crown and water resistance to 100 meters.

CONCLUSIONS

The Rolex Land-Dweller represents a perfect balance between tradition and innovation. With 31 patents (including 18 exclusive ones), this model redefines the standards of contemporary watchmaking by offering uncompromising performance and a design that captures the essence of modern luxury. If you are an enthusiast or collector, be prepared: availability will be limited, but this watch promises to become a timeless classic.
