BARBARESCO PAJE' DOCG 2017 CL 75 ROAGNA
Tasting Notes
Barbaresco has a deep garnet red color. The nose is complex, with hints of red fruit and spicy notes. The palate is full and velvety with a lingering aftertaste.
Winemaking
The selected grapes were destemmed and pressed. Maceration lasted approximately 10 days at a maximum temperature of 30°C. Malolactic fermentation was completed before the end of winter. The wine was aged for approximately a year in oak barrels of varying capacities.
Climate
January and the first part of February, characterized by mild temperatures and low rainfall, preceded a March marked by frequent rains, ensuring the accumulation of excellent water reserves in the soil. The following season, generally with below-average temperatures, favored a delay in vegetative recovery of about ten days, which lasted until the end of summer. Harvest began on September 30th and concluded on October 12th.
