CLOS DU PAVILLON POUILLY FUISSE '22 CL 75 REGNARD
Clos de l'oratoire des papes is one of Stephane Ogier's wines. This winery is located in Ampuis, in the Rhone Valley. The continental climate and the soil rich in pebbles, mixed with red clay and limestone, create the ideal environment for the cultivation of extremely mineral vines. The red in question is the result of the expert blending of 80% Grenache, 8% Syrah, 7% Mourvèdre and finally 5% Cinsault. The bunches harvested annually are vinified in the company's cellar; here the destemmed grapes are subjected to soft pressing. After being left to macerate for about twenty days, the must undergoes pumping over and punching down inside the fermentation tanks. Finally, before being bottled and marketed, the wine is left to age for about a year inside oak barrels. The Clos de l'oratoire des papes thus obtained is an intense, fresh and mineral red, good right away, but with excellent aging potential.
