Solaia by Marchesi Antinori is born on the Tignanello hill, from the best grapes of the best vineyard. The rest is passion, care, attention and research. This is how Solaia is born, produced with the most select Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Sangiovese grapes from the vineyard of the same name. The selected and delicately pressed grapes are then transferred by gravity into the tanks. During fermentation and maceration, also taking into account the particularity of the vintage, a correct balance is maintained between the fruit and the quality of the tannin. Once the skins and wine are separated, malolactic fermentation begins which, in barrique, enhances the complexity and pleasantness of the wine. The refinement process takes place in new French oak barrels for approximately 18 months. After an initial period of refinement in separate lots, these are assembled to complete the evolution in wood.
