Massimo Bottura at Vinitaly: a tribute to Emilia-Romagna's food and wine excellence
This year, Vinitaly will be transformed into a unique stage to celebrate the thirtieth anniversary of Osteria Francescana, Massimo Bottura's renowned restaurant. From April 6 to 9, in the heart of Pavilion 1 at Veronafiere, Bottura will be an ambassador for the flavors and food and wine excellence of Emilia-Romagna. This edition of Vinitaly is particularly special, as it will be the first time a Michelin-starred restaurant will be hosted within the exhibition halls.
Promoting the wines of Emilia-Romagna
Emilia-Romagna presents itself with a revamped image, thanks to the collaboration between the Regional Wine Shop, the Emilia-Romagna Region, and the Emilia-Romagna Tourist Board. This joint effort aims to elevate the quality of regional wines to an ever-higher level. With 80 exhibitors, Emilia-Romagna wines will be the stars of the event, featuring innovative food pairings, such as those proposed by Massimo Bottura.
Emilia-Romagna: a United Region
According to Alessio Mammi, Regional Councilor for Agriculture and Agri-Food, Emilia-Romagna is unique, being the only region named after a road that connects all of it, from Piacenza to Rimini. Wine is an integral part of the region's identity, thanks to the work of local producers and businesses. This edition of Vinitaly is the perfect opportunity to renew the region's message, highlighting the quality of its wines and their ability to pair perfectly with local cuisine.
Award to Massimo Bottura and the Franciscan Family
To celebrate the thirtieth anniversary of Osteria Francescana, Veronafiere President Federico Bricolo announced that Massimo Bottura and the Francescana Family will receive a new award established by Vinitaly. This recognition pays tribute to Bottura's commitment to promoting the food and wine excellence of Emilia-Romagna and enhancing the synergy between cuisine and viticulture.
